These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the SEOlerts website, platform, and related services. By accessing or using SEOlerts, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use SEOlerts.

1. What SEOlerts is

SEOlerts is an SEO monitoring platform designed to monitor selected URLs and websites for changes to certain on-page and technical SEO elements, and to notify users when monitored changes are detected.

SEOlerts may monitor elements including, but not limited to:

  • status codes
  • redirects
  • canonicals
  • robots directives
  • titles and meta descriptions
  • hreflang
  • content changes
  • internal link-related signals
  • other SEO-related page elements

SEOlerts is a monitoring and alerting service. It does not guarantee rankings, traffic levels, indexing outcomes, or commercial performance.

2. Eligibility

You may only use SEOlerts if you:

  • are at least 18 years old, and
  • have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and
  • use the service in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws

If you use SEOlerts on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Accounts

To access some or all features of SEOlerts, you may need to create an account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate and complete information
  • keep your login credentials secure
  • be responsible for all activity under your account
  • notify us promptly of any unauthorised access or suspected security breach

We may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, unauthorised access, fraud, or a breach of these Terms.

4. Plans, subscriptions, and billing

SEOlerts may offer free plans, paid subscriptions, trial access, and custom enterprise arrangements.

4.1 Subscription terms

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis unless otherwise stated. By subscribing, you authorise us or our payment provider to charge the applicable fees at the start of each billing period.

4.2 Renewals

Unless cancelled before renewal, paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing cycle.

4.3 Pricing

Prices, limits, and features for each plan are shown on our pricing page or otherwise provided to you before purchase. We may update pricing or plan features in the future. Any changes will apply prospectively, not retroactively, unless required by law.

4.4 Taxes

Prices may be shown exclusive or inclusive of taxes depending on your location and the way pricing is presented on the site. You are responsible for any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4.5 Upgrades and downgrades

You may be able to upgrade or downgrade your plan. Changes may take effect immediately or at the next billing cycle, depending on the plan and billing system in use.

5. Free plans and trials

If we offer a free plan or free trial:

  • it may be limited by usage, features, history retention, or support level
  • we may change or withdraw it at any time
  • we may suspend access if the plan is abused or used in bad faith

Unless stated otherwise, free plans and trials are provided without any service level commitment.

6. Cancellation and refunds

6.1 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Unless stated otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals and your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.

6.2 Refunds

Fees are generally non-refundable except:

  • where required by applicable law
  • where we expressly state otherwise
  • where we agree otherwise at our discretion

6.3 Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights under the laws of your country, including rights relating to digital services, cancellation, or unfair terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot legally be excluded. EU consumer law requires clear information before purchase and provides rights relating to online contracts and digital services.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use SEOlerts for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
  • interfere with or disrupt the service
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
  • use bots or scripts in a way that harms the platform
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service except where we have agreed this in writing
  • use the service in a way that infringes the rights of others
  • upload or transmit malicious code or harmful material

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached this section.

8. Your content and monitored data

You may submit URLs, domains, settings, labels, team information, and other content to use the service.

You retain ownership of content you submit to SEOlerts. By using the service, you give us a limited right to process, store, and use that content as necessary to:

  • provide the service
  • monitor pages and store change data
  • send alerts and reports
  • improve platform functionality
  • maintain security and prevent abuse

You confirm that you have the right to submit and monitor the URLs and data you add to the platform.

9. Monitoring results and alerts

SEOlerts aims to identify monitored changes accurately and notify you according to your plan and configuration. However:

  • checks are periodic, not continuous unless expressly stated
  • alerts may depend on third-party systems such as email, Slack, Discord, or webhook endpoints
  • monitored results may be affected by connectivity issues, rate limiting, page rendering differences, robots restrictions, blocked resources, or changes in third-party systems
  • not every detected change will have an SEO impact, and not every SEO-impacting issue may be detected immediately

SEOlerts provides monitoring information to support decision-making. You remain responsible for reviewing alerts and deciding what action to take.

10. Third-party services and integrations

SEOlerts may integrate with or rely on third-party providers, including hosting providers, payment processors, communication tools, analytics services, and external integrations.

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

11. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in SEOlerts, including the platform, software, branding, content, design, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to us, unless stated otherwise.

You may use SEOlerts only as permitted by these Terms. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of SEOlerts except as expressly permitted by us or by law.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of SEOlerts at any time.

We may also change:

  • features
  • usage limits
  • plan structures
  • retention periods
  • supported integrations
  • interface and workflows

Where practical, we will try to give reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect paid users.

13. Support

Support levels may vary depending on your plan.

We will use reasonable efforts to provide support in line with the level associated with your plan, but we do not guarantee response times unless expressly agreed in writing, such as under an enterprise agreement or SLA.

14. Data protection and privacy

Our use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of how SEOlerts operates.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of SEOlerts, including the submission of URLs, user data, and recipient details for alerts, complies with applicable data protection laws.

15. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the service and the data we process. However, no online platform or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining secure passwords
  • restricting account access
  • using the platform securely within your organisation

16. Warranties disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEOlerts is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • all SEO issues will be detected
  • all alerts will be delivered immediately or at all times
  • the platform will be compatible with every website or integration
  • use of SEOlerts will improve rankings, traffic, revenue, or indexing outcomes

Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses
  • we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or opportunity
  • we are not liable for losses arising from third-party outages, integrations, email delivery failures, or external platforms

Our total liability arising out of or in connection with SEOlerts shall not exceed:

  • the total amount you paid to us for SEOlerts in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or
  • if you are on a free plan, £100 / €100 / $100, whichever you prefer to use consistently

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

18. Indemnity

If you use SEOlerts on behalf of a business, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from losses, claims, liabilities, and costs arising out of:

  • your misuse of the service
  • your breach of these Terms
  • your infringement of any third-party rights
  • your unlawful use of URLs, content, data, or integrations submitted to the platform

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to SEOlerts immediately if:

  • you breach these Terms
  • payment is overdue
  • we suspect fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity
  • continued access creates security, legal, or operational risk

You may stop using SEOlerts at any time.

On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately, but sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, liability, payment obligations already incurred, and dispute provisions.

20. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of [INSERT COUNTRY / JURISDICTION].

The courts of [INSERT JURISDICTION] shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring claims in another court.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website with the updated effective date.

Where changes are material, we may provide notice by email, through the platform, or on the website. Continued use of SEOlerts after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
